Should I wash my baby bed set for the first time?

I know I have to wash all the clothes, sheets, comforters, blankets, etc… before the arrival of baby.

We just received today our crib bed set that included the comforter, sham, sheet, and bumper. I will definitely wash the sheet, but is it really necessary to wash the bumper and comforter? Everything looks so much nicer new and I know it won’t look the same once I wash it.

My feelings tell me I should wash everything… I just wanted some comments from you guys.

Yes, wash it. It’s your baby, you don’t know what stuff the bedding has come in contact with prior to shipping it to you. You’d be really upset if it by chance irritated your child’s skin and you felt you should have washed it in the first place.
