Can you get the pip of a dog bite?

A stray dog bit my husband's hand, breaking the skin, as they were taking vet. The vet agreed to keep the dog for 10 days if they had rabies. Now, seven days later, the vet informed us that the dog had distemper. Has the dog to sleep and sends the brain (?) To be tested. We were so surprised that we forget to ask if the distemper is transmitted through Rabies bites as it is. Any information would be appreciated.

No, Distemper does not transmit to humans, only one dog to another.
