Best type of adhesive for Cricut diecuts that are thin / small when Xyron Goo leaves much too much on edge?

need help with finding Product / scrapbooking idea that will not be too sticky, I can not get all the staff of the edges of small objects pass through a Xyron

Narrow double sided tape? How about one of those runners double stick adhesive that makes a line only sticky paper? I have used with good results, and go cornering too, if you are pasting letters and numbers.
