Do I need to buy Cricut Cartridges if you have the Design Studio software?

I have not yet bought a Cricut – I'm doing a little research first. What is throwing me off is the cost of the cartridges damn! Well, I came across a video on youtube for a woman who has a website called "scrappingtable.com" and she says no need to buy cartridges when either the study design software or other software program that is compatible … She said you can use any font computer on your computer or any Wingding / wingbat and there is a lot that you can download for free off the net … She also says that this eliminates the purchase of expensive cartridges. Is this true? I read on the cricut website you still need the cartridges if you buy the software …? Trying to research before buy. Thank You.

If you do not need the cartridges for the study of software design, but it is not necessary to have the cartridges (In reality it has to be at least one to keep on your computer because it does not load the paper into the machine without one in no matter what) for a program called Sure Cuts a lot. You can download sources at fontspace.com team and you can get free or design their own courts svg. I have both and safe use of many cuts that much. I love my Cricut. you should check cricut.com out and go to the community and read the message boards are really useful and a lot of different ideas. I can buy all my cartridges off eBay are much more cheaper there. Buy cuts may also sure that many on eBay as well. I hope that helped.
