Embossing effect in illustrator?
Hello,
I am quite new to illustrator. I want to create an arc around a circle and give some embossing effects to it. I managed to create the arcs. I drew a circle without fill and used the scissors tool to cut the stroke into arcs. Now I am not able to give embossing effects to these arcs!
I have attached the image on google docs, to make it more clear what I want to achieve.

Can anyone help?

I’m looking at the photo and must say that Illustrator cannot do this effect. This was done in Photoshop.
