Joys Season
How can we remember those who are gone this holiday season without killing its inherent joy?

After a three year battle, we lost my 14 year old cousin to cancer just a few weeks after Christmas last year, so it will be our first Holiday season without her. Obviously she will be on everyone’s minds, so there’s no avoiding it.

How can we celebrate her memory together, acknowledging the elephant in the room, and share our grief in a healthy way without destroying the remaining joy of the season?

Make it a celebration and say thing that she help you to realize. What did you learn form her. Tell happy stories about her, she is happy now and in know pain anymore. She is with you all and will be there she doesn’t want to see you guys crying she wants you to be happy like she is. So I would say tell funny stories of things that you did with her of things she did to you guys. Celebrate her life not her death.
