What can I do about the pine tree killing my plants?

I live in an apartment complex and have a small garden outside. There’s this huge pine tree that is slowly killing all my plants. I obviously can’t cut it down. Is there anything I can do to prevent any further damage to my plants?

you will need to make some adjustments to the PH or make-up of the soil under the tree….the needles have probably fallen for years and makes the soil very acidy…….i have found that short of cutting the tree down, impatients seem to do real well in the shade, even before i added top soil to adjust the ph….i wouldnt cut it down, unless its really a bother…..i have also planted flowers ect in pots and placed them under the pine, you will want shade loving plants, but wont have to mess with adjusting the natural soil under the tree………..if you cut it down, what will you have to decorate for the holidays!
